calculated field
In BIRT Spreadsheet Designer, a field in a data set, data range, or pivot range that uses a formula. A calculated field can perform calculations using the contents of other fields. For example, a calculated field named Forecast can estimate future orders using a formula, such as OrderTotals * 1.2.
