converter

1	A tool that converts data from one format to another format. BIRT technology provides an Excel converter, PDF converter, PostScript converter, PowerPoint converter, Word converter, and an XML converter.

2	A tool used by Information Console to convert Actuate Basic report data to a viewable format such as Dynamic HyperText Markup Language (DHTML) or PDF.
