A relational database or other data repository. For example, an Extensible Markup Language (XML) file, a flat file, an information object, or a Java application can be a data source. A report or spreadsheet can include any of these types of data. This data source provides data rows to a report or a gadget on a dashboard through a data source component or data source element.
