dynamic link library (DLL)
A library of routines loaded and linked into an application at run time in the Windows environment. These routines can be called from an Actuate Basic or BIRT report. Actuate BIRT iServer System also uses DLLs for Actuate Report Server Security Extension (RSSE), drivers for third-party products, and logging.
