Introducing Actuate Information Console : About Information Console : Accessing Information Console

Accessing Information Console

Information Console is a browser-based application and requires a web browser. Internet Explorer 7.x and 8.x, Mozilla Firefox 3.x, and Safari 4 or later are the browsers supported for use with Information Console. After entering the web address of Information Console, a user logs in to receive access to files and dashboards on the Encyclopedia volume.

Figure 1-2 shows a high-level view of a user’s web browser interacting with Information Console and an Encyclopedia volume managed by the Actuate BIRT iServer System.
