How to modify a data set filter

To modify an existing filter condition, complete the following steps on Table Builder—Filter:

Select Edit, as shown in Figure 5-19.

Filter appears. In Filter, Conditions displays the existing filter conditions. Select the condition to modify.

In Filter By, select a new column from the drop-down list.

In Condition, select an operator. Depending on the operator you choose, one or two value fields appear.

In Value, do one of the following:

Type a value.

Choose Select Values, then select a value from the list of values that appears.

Use the calendar tool to select a date.

Select No value to choose a Null value.

Choose Change Condition. Filters displays the modified condition.

Choose Validate to verify the syntax of the modified condition.

Choose OK. BIRT Studio displays data fields that meet the filter condition in the report design.
