Starting BIRT Studio

The configuration of your organization’s application system determines how you access BIRT Studio. Your system administrator should provide a URL and, in most cases, login information.

As BIRT Studio is an option in Actuate BIRT iHub or Actuate Information Console, you access BIRT Studio by logging in to either iHub or Information Console. Contact your system administrator to obtain login credentials, and the URL to access iHub or Information Console.

After you log in, on the Documents page that appears, choose BIRT Studio, as shown in Figure 1-1.

BIRT Studio opens in your web browser, as shown in Figure 1-2. After you start BIRT Studio, you can either create a new report or open an existing report.
