A typical template contains some editable report elements and some non‑editable elements. Examples of editable elements include report titles or tables in which you insert data. Examples of non‑editable elements include standard copyright or confidentiality statements. You can only format elements that the template sets as editable.
This section describes the editing and formatting tasks you can perform using the default installation of Report Studio. Some editing or formatting functionality might not be available to you if your system administrator configured Report Studio to omit that functionality.
How to select an element for formatting
To format an element, first select the element, then choose the formatting action from the context menu that appears when you right‑click the selected element. You cannot select a single row of data in a table, nor can you select a single data value, unless the value is an aggregate calculation or a column header. To highlight a particular row or value, use conditional formatting.
