Configuring users
The User management module allows the administrator to create, modify, or delete a user account. In the BIRT Analytics environment, managing users in the BIRT Analytics Administration application does not change the configuration of corresponding objects if the system security is integrated with an Active Directory system.
This option provides the following choices:
*Create
Choose Create to define a new user. In Creating user, specify the following settings, as shown in Figure 1‑28:
*Login
Unique user ID
*Password
Password that conforms to password policies specifications
*Name
User name
*Language
Local language settings specified for the BIRT Analytics application environment
*Theme
Presentation theme specified for the user application
*User type
Admin, Power, Explorer, or Viewer user type
*Expiration date
Date to deactivate user account
*Active
Activates or deactivates the user account without removing the user configuration from system
*Last password change
Records last time user changed password
*Must change password at next login
Requires user to change password on next logon
*Email
User e‑mail address
Choose OK to add the user to the list of current users.

*Modify
In Current users, select an existing user, then choose Modify to change the settings specified for an existing user. In Modifying user, update any of the settings specified in the previous Create user section, as shown in Figure 1‑29. Choose OK to add the modified user to the current users list.

*Delete
In Current users, select an existing user, then choose Delete to remove the user from the list of current users. In Deleting user, the settings for the selected user appears, as shown in Figure 1‑30. Choose OK to confirm deleting the user from the current user list.
