Setting privileges for a file or folder
An administrator or a file or folder owner can set privileges on a file or folder. A folder owner or an administrator can choose to apply privileges to only the folder or to all the files and subfolders in that folder. Table 2‑4 lists and describes all supported privileges and the task that each privilege allows a user to perform.

Run a design, dashboard, or executable file. Only an administrator can set this privilege. The execute privilege does not apply to folders or document files.

Change privileges for a file or folder. An administrator has grant privileges on all files and folders by default.

View and print an entire report. Privilege to view the contents of a folder. The file or folder must be visible.
Secure read
S
View and print only restricted parts of a document.

See a folder or a file in a list.

W
Modify a file or the contents of a folder.

An administrator assigns privileges to channels, users, folders, and files that allow each user to perform tasks using channels. If you cannot access a channel to which you want to subscribe or send a notice, contact the volume administrator. Table 2‑6 lists the privileges required to perform tasks using a channel.
