Adding a node to a cluster
To add a new node to the cluster perform the following tasks:
1 Shut down the node.
2 Open the acpmdconfig.xml file.
3 Modify <AC_CONFIG_HOME> to point to the shared configuration home directory that contains acserverconfig.xml for the cluster.
4 Modify <AC_TEMPLATE_NAME> to use a server template from the available server templates listed in acserverconfig.xml.
5 Save the acpmdconfig.xml file.
6 Start the new node. The node will automatically contact the acserverconfig.xml for the configuration profile and join the cluster, as shown in
Figure 9‑11.

If the particular server configuration that you want to use for the new node is not available in the templates listed in acserverconfig.xml, create a new template. For more information on the process of creating a new server template, see
“Creating a new server template,” earlier in this chapter.
